Farmers' Market

North Branch Friends was right in the midst of the excitement as the Wilkes-Barre Farmers' Market opened its 35th season on June 26. We still have upcoming booths there in August and September, so there's still opportunity to stop by and say hello. Our primary goals are to sell cookbooks and to take advantage of an outreach opportunity that is particularly accessible to community members who may not previously have known about us.

We're selling cookbooks ($10) and "War Is Not the Answer" bumper stickers ($1) to raise money for our meeting house fund. We also have brochures to give away, and Friends at the booth to meet people and answer questions.

If you'd like to help with the booth on  September 25, speak up at meeting or send a quick e-mail to volunteer!
